Scribepost for March 12,2009

I am going to do the Scribe post for Thursday because Caitlin was sick.

On Thursday we started by doing what we always start with.Number Of The Day
Thursday's number was 1247.936

On Thursday we had a test about probability. Here are the answers:
1.True 6. A 11.C 16.D 2.False 7. D 12.C 3.False 8.D 13.B 4.False 9.D 14.A 5.True 10.B 15.C

17.Favourable Outcome
18.Outcome
19.Tree Diagram and Probability Chart or Table
20.One Half
21.Tree Diagram
22. 1/25
23.Independent events

24.B 29.
25.A
26.D
27.E 30.They have an equal amount of winning.
28.C

After we did the test we copied some notes about probability.
This is what they said(or at least what I wrote. (= ).
More Probability
P(Rolling Prime Number) with a regular die.

P(Rolling Prime Number)=
Favourable outcome
---------------------------
Possible outcome

P(Rolling Prime Number)= 3/6 we always have to simplify so 3/6 is 1/2, 50% and,1:2

Find the probability of rolling two sixes in a row with a reg
ular die.
You need to use a probability tree to solve this problem.

P(two sixes in a row)=
favourable outcome
----------------------------

possible outcome _
P(
two sixes in a row)=1/36,2.78, 1:36

Independent Event- The outcome of one event has no effect on the outcome of another event.

Sample Space- All possible outcomes of an experiment.

Tree Diagram-
Diagram used to organize outcomes

Find The possibility of landing a
coin on HEADS, and rolling an ODD number.

P(odd and heads) =
favourable outcome
----------------------------

possible outcome
P(odd and heads)=1/4,1:4,25%

I know that the font is too big and messed up but i don't know how to fix it.So im just going to post it like this.

For the next Scribe Post i pick Jex M. But if someone didn't do the Scribe Post yet you should tell me.

Thank you for checking my scribe please leave a Comment.
